Project Details

The external refurbishment of a 5 storey high maritime control building. Extensive concrete repairs were undertaken, anti-carbonisation coatings applied to soffits and new cladding system installed over the fluted, exposed aggregate, insitu panels.

Product Selection:

The work was carried out utilising a selection of products to meet the client’s needs. Lightweight repair mortar was utilised for all concrete repairs for its ability to be feather-edged without debonding. MC Emce Colourflex was used as the selected anti-carbonisation coating, manufactured to special order to match the profile steel sheet systems selected RAL colour.

Interesting Facts:

Working within a tight timescale, the external refurbishment was completed in time for the official opening by HRH The Princess Royal.
