Project Details
Repair to insitu concrete diving boards where extensive concrete spalling had taken place due to exposure to high chlorinated atmosphere.
Product Selection:
Concrete repairs to be undertaken using a lightweight repair mortar. This product enabled full depth repairs (over 100mm in some places) to be undertaken in one labour operation, minimising disruption. The subsequent application of an anti-carbonation coating providing long term protection.
Interesting Facts:
The high temperatures and humidity from the main swimming pool, (which remained open), required temperature control precautions in undertaking both the concrete repairs and the subsequent decorative coating application.
