Project Details
This major refurbishment of an internal swimming pool involved providing proven wall-coating systems to improve the cleanability of the walls in the pool and changing areas, together with the provision of a decorative slip-resistant surface to the floors. Surface preparation to remove old flaking coatings was essential to the long-term success of the project.
Product Selection
Belzona wall coatings were selected for the wall surfaces in white and blue, with Belzona 5231 SG Laminate proposed for the changing room floors and around the poolside to prevent slip hazards with wet feet on the concrete.
Interesting Facts
In wet areas, where bare feet are involved, there needs to be common ground achieved between levels of slip resistance, individual comfort and clean- ability. This was achieved by producing several sample panels and the client approving the system based on their own bare, wet foot test!!
